Next week we are going to start our unit of rewriting an ending to a fairytale. They have been looking forward to this. :)

Narratives... Boy we have been writing a lot of narratives lately and they seem to have them down to an art form. They will have a narrative piece due next week. They will have this week and next in class to work on it. Please talk to them about what it means to write a strong lead.

We have just begun adapting a fairy tale. They seem to love this unit so far. We will also be discussing adjectives and colorful words. Ask them what fairy tale they chose to adapt.

I love that I have had a few parents come in to read their child's journal. If you ever would like to see it you are more than welcome to come in. If you can't make it in just send me an email and I'll send the journal home if you PROMISE to send it back the next day.

We are coniniuing to work on our Personal Narratives. The students have done a wonderful job of writing about a seed story instead of a watermelon story.
